Meet the Staff
Dr. Robert Sheffey
Dr. Robert Sheffey is a Chicago, Orland Park, Portage Park, and New Lenox podiatrist specializing in the treatment of conditions affecting the feet and ankles. He believes that healthy feet play an important role in a healthy body and works hard to help his patients live a life free of pain and discomfort caused by foot and ankle disorders.
Dr. Sheffey is a native Ohioan. As an undergraduate he attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He then attended the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. His residency surgical training consisted of a three year PM&S-36 at the NCVA/St. Joseph’s Hospital also in Chicago, IL. His training focused on both forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive procedures along with basic podiatric medicine.
Dr. Bijoy Abraham
Born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, Dr. Abraham completed his undergraduate studies at Benedictine University in Lisle for bachelors of science in biology and earned his doctorate degree from Rosalind Franklin University/ Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago. He went on to complete his post-graduate residency training at Presence St. Joseph Hospital – Chicago IL, where he served as Chief Resident during his third year. While in residency, Dr. Abraham was exposed to all medical and surgical aspects of foot and ankle care with extensive specialized training in wound care, trauma, complex reconstructions, limb salvage, Illizarov external fixation, peripheral nerve surgery, and advanced plastic surgery techniques. Dr. Abraham believes strongly in the importance of our feet and the impact on our overall health. He is committed to providing the highest quality of care while focusing importance on patient education and communication.
Away from the office, Dr. Abraham enjoys spending time with his wife, family/friends, travelling, playing basketball, and is an avid Chicago sports fan.
Dr. Dijana Mirkovic
Dr. Dijana Mirkovic was raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin where she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin – Parkside with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and earned her Doctorate degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her post-graduate studies at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital of Chicago, during which time she served as Chief Resident her final year. Her education focused on both forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, as well as all aspects of podiatric medicine.
She provides foot and ankle treatment to patients of all ages, including conservative and surgical options. She strives to provide patient-centered care and to open a strong chain of communication between herself, her patients and their families. She focuses on building a trusting relationship in an environment in which her patients feel comfortable asking all of their questions.
She enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling and has a true love for cooking.
